The SANY SY16C Mini Excavator weighs 4,023 lbs, digs to 7’9″, and runs on 18.2 net horsepower, sized to work through a standard gate or fenced backyard where a larger machine can’t fit. Landscaping crews use it for planting bed excavation, small retaining wall footings, and irrigation line trenching in finished yards, and the retractable undercarriage narrows down for tight passageways before widening back out for stability once it’s through.

The SY16C’s swing boom lets the arm angle sideways to dig along a fence line or foundation wall without swinging the whole machine into it, and its reduced tail swing keeps the counterweight from extending past the tracks on the way around.
